New Delhi, 28 August (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis dropped down to Rs 15100 per quintal, after this, its prices went up by Rs 100 to Rs 15200 per quintal during the weekend due to the weak buying even after the sluggish prices. Before one week, its prices slipped by Rs 200 per quintal. There are about 2800 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices declined by Rs 200/300 per quintal. The active contract slipped by Rs 94 or 0.58 percent to Rs 16080 per quintal because of the weak speculative selling. The spot turmeric prices may likely to decrease during the coming one or two days.
