New Delhi, 30 August (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis declined by Rs 200 to Rs 14,000 per quintal because of the weak sale even after the sluggish prices. During the previous day, the prices have gone down by Rs 1000 per quintal. There was holiday in Erode due to festival, but there, there are about 3200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices fell down by Rs.300 per quintal. The active contract went up by Rs 158 or 1.11 percent to Rs 14,450 per quintal because of the strong speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is a possibility of break on downtrend in the spot turmeric prices during the coming one or two days.
