New Delhi, 06 September (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis slipped by Rs 200 to Rs 14300 per quintal owing to the sluggish offtake at the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 300 per quintal. There was holiday in Erode on the occasion of shri Krishna Janmashatami, but before this, there are about 3000 bags of turmeric reported to be arrive and the prices reduced by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract fell down by s 82 or 0.54 percent to Rs 14966 per quintal owing to the weak speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices may likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
