Turmeric: likely to remain strong

New Delhi, 18 September (NNS): During the previous week, here, turmeric prices ascended by Rs.900 to Rs.15,100 per quintal because of the strong buying from the stockists at the highest level. On the other hand, the trading activities remain closed in Erode due to heavy rainfall. The active contract ascended Rs 158 or 1.01 Percent to Rs 15748 per quintal owing to the increased speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices play likely to remain strong during the coming one or two days.
