New Delhi, 29 September (NNS): Cumin prices ascended by Rs.500 to Rs.64,300 per quintal because of the strong sale even after the higher prices. During the previous day, the prices have softened by Rs 100 per kg. There are about 3000/4000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices rose by Rs.50 per 20 kg. The active contract gained by Rs.3 80 or 0.65 percent to Rs.59,250 per kg because of the increased speculative buying. In this situation, the market sentiments may affect. The spot cumin prices may likely to remain strong during the coming one or two days.
