New Delhi, 29 September (NNS): The prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis rose by Rs.200 to Rs.14,000 per quintal to due to the strong sale at the higher level. During the previous day, the prices have gone up by Rs 100 per kg. There are about 2000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract jumped by Rs.304 or 2.27 percent to Rs.13,680 per quintal because of the strong speculative buying. Due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices may likely to remain strong during the coming days.
