New Delhi, 04 October (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 500 to Rs 14500 per quintal due to the higher sale at the sluggish prices. Before this, the prices have gone down by Rs 200/300 per quintal. There were about 2600 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level during the previous day. The active contract jumped by Rs 384 or 2.76 percent to Rs 14290 per quintal owing to the heavy speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric price may likely to remain strong during the coming days.
