New Delhi, 16 October (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis slipped by Rs 600 to Rs 13700 per quintal owing to the weak buying even after the sluggish prices. During the weekend, the prices have improved by Rs 100 per quintal. There were about 1600 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices remained stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract softened by Rs 6 or 0.05 percent to Rs 12866 per quintal owing to the sluggish speculative buying. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the prices during the coming days.
