New Delhi, 18 October (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis held stable at Rs 13800 per quintal due to the feeble offtake at the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There were about 1900 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract jumped by Rs 510 or 3.90 percent to Rs 13600 per quintal because of the all-round speculative selling, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of downtrend in the prices during the coming days.
