New Delhi, 19 October (NNS): Here, cumin prices dropped down by Rs 2000 to Rs 61000 per quintal because of the increased all-round selling from the stockists. During the previous day, the prices have gone down by Rs 1200 per quintal. There are about 3000/4000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices declined by Rs 100 per 20 kg. The active contract went down by Rs 2465 or 4.37 percent to Rs 53900 per quintal due to the all-round buying from the speculators. It is expected that the sowing of new crop may start soon during the near future. The spot cumin prices may likely to remain under pressure during the coming days.
