New Delhi, 21 November (NNS): Cumin prices went up by Rs 500 to Rs 45500 per quintal owing to the strong buying after the heavy uptrend of Rs 1000 per quintal during the previous day. There were around 3000/3500 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices jumped by Rs 125/200 per 20 kg. The active contract went up by Rs 870 or 1.91 percent to Rs 46470 per quintal due to the strong speculative buying. Its sowing improved by 15 percent in Gujarat during the current season, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is a possibility of more uptrend in the prices during the coming days.
