New Delhi, 20 November (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis reduced by Rs 100 to Rs 13200 per quintal owing to the lack of demand support at the higher level and weak supply. Before this, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 1500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level. On the other hand, the active contract declined by Rs 98 or 0.77 percent to Rs 12600 per quintal because of the weak speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will not likely to improve during the near future.
