New Delhi, 21 December (NNS): The prices of small cardamom reported to be sluggish after the uptrend of Rs 150/200 per quintal during the last some days. Now, there is no possibility of more downtrend in the prices. The arrivals of small cardamom reported to be weak by 6 percent at the auction centres during the last 15 days, due to which, the prices may not show more downtrend. The trade does not seems favourable due to the rainfall and flood during the month of May and June along with the sluggish demand from the markets. Despite all this, the market showed uptrend after the arrival of the new crop which was proven to be problematic during the last two months and there is no possibility of more downtrend in the prices. Apart from this, the inferior quality stock remained stable at Rs 1600/1650 per quintal and the prices may not show more decrement, but there is still long time left and the upcountry demand reported to be improved at the lower level, on seeing this, the prices have not showed more downtrend, besides the prices may rose by Rs 100/150 per kg during the next month.
