New Delhi, 25 December (NNS): During the previous week, the prices of cumin dropped down by Rs 500 to Rs 43500 per quintal due to the sluggish buying from the stockists even after the weak prices. Before this, the prices have gone down by Rs 2000 per quintal. There were about 2000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices held firm at the same level of the previous day. The contract market was remain close, but before this, the active contract went up by Rs 250 or 0.66 percent to Rs 38150 per quintal because of the increased speculative buying. There is no possibility of uptrend in the prices during the coming days.
