New Delhi, 25 December (NNS): Here, turmeric Erode gatha asitis fell down by Rs 300 to Rs 13400 per quintal because of the weak buying from the stockists at the higher level. The trading activities reported to be close on the occasion of Christmas, due to this reason, here, around 6500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices remained stable at the level of the previous day. The contract market also remain close, but before this, the active contract ascended by Rs 284 or 2.03 percent to Rs 14250 per quintal owing to the srong speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will not likely to increase during the near future.
