New Delhi, 08 January (NNS): Here, turmeric Erode gatha asitis went down by Rs 900 to Rs 12500 per quintal because of the heavy selling from the stockists. There were around 1700 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract slipped by Rs 310 or 2.31 percent to Rs 13124 per quintal because of the heavy speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will not likely to increase during the near future.
