New Delhi, 29 January (NNS): Here, turmeric Erode gatha asitis prices dropped down by Rs 500/600 to Rs 13600 per quintal due to the increased profit taking selling from the stockists even after the higher prices. However, its prices at the higher level by Rs 300 per quintal before a week. There were around 1100 bags of turmeric reported to be arrive in Erode and the prices rose by Rs 200/300 per quintal during the previous day. The active contract fell down by Rs 960 or 5.99 percent to Rs 15058 per quintal owing to the all-round speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain in the limited area during the near future.
