New Delhi, 12 February (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis slipped by Rs 100 to Rs 13500 per quintal due to the sluggish buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Before this, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were about 1500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract dropped down by Rs 516 or 3.40 percent to Rs 14650 per quintal due to the all-round speculative selling. The spot turmeric prices will not likely to remain high during the near future.
