New Delhi, 19 February (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis fell down by Rs 100 to Rs 13400 per quintal due to the weak buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Before this, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were about 2100 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract dropped down by Rs 40 or 0.26 percent to Rs 15150 per quintal due to the sluggish speculative selling. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain high during the near future.
