New Delhi, 11 March (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis jumped by Rs 2200 to Rs 17000 per quintal due to the all-round buying from the stockists. There were around 5500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices went up by Rs 1000/1200 per kg. The active contract jumped by Rs 1089 or 5.99 percent to Rs 19170 per quintal because of the all-round speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
