Cumin prices dropped down by Rs 200 to Rs 26800 per quintal owing to the sluggish buying from the stockists as comparatively even after the feeble prices. During the weekend, its prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal. There was a holiday in Unjha mandi due to the march closing and it is expected that the trading activities will likely to be normal from Tuesday. The active contract declined from Rs 210 or 0.89 percent to to Rs 23390 per quintal due to the sluggish buying from the speculators. There is no possibility of more uptrend in the prices during the coming days.
