New Delhi, 03 April (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 100 to Rs 15,800 per quintal due to the improved sale at the lower level. During the previous day, the prices have showed up trend. There will be holiday till 7 April in Erode mandi due to the March closing. It is expected that the trading activities will be normal from 8 April. The active contract rose by Rs 366 or 2.21 percent to Rs 16910 per quintal because of the strong speculative buying. It is expected that the spot turmeric prices may increase during the coming one or two days.
