New Delhi, 25 April (NNS): Today, the prices of small cardamom reduced by Rs 50 per kg after the uptrend of Rs 150 per kg during the previous days. Presently, there is no possibility of more downtrend in the prices. The arrivals of small cardamom went down by 15/16 percent at the auction centres during the last fortnight, due to which, the prices may not show heavy downfall. It is also true that there is a lack of demand in the markets and the upcoming crop will expected to be sluggish because of the constant rainfall in February during the current season. The market may show heavy uptrend owing to the constant arrival of the stock. Presently, the prices may not show heavy uptrend. The prices of small cardamom held stable at Rs 1675/1700 per kg as quality wise and the upcountry demand showed improved trend at the lower level, on seeing this, the prices may not show more increment, otherwise, its prices may rose by Rs 100/150 per kg during the next month.
