New Delhi, 29 April (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 700 to Rs 17400 per quintal owing to the strong buying from the stockists. During the weekend, its prices slipped by Rs 300 to Rs 17100 per quintal. There were around 2400 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices remained stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract gained by Rs 256 or 1.35 percent to Rs 19286 per quintal owing to the strong speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the near future.
