New Delhi, 10 May (NNS): Here, cumin prices jumped by Rs 300 to Rs 25800 per quintal owing to the increased sale even after the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 700 per quintal. There was holiday in Unjha mandi on the occasion of Akshaya Trititiya, but before this, there were around 20000/22000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices rose by Rs 50/100 per kg. The active contract ascended by Rs 755 or 2.91 percent to Rs 26710 per quintal owing to the sluggish speculative buying. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
