New Delhi, 17 May (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis gained by Rs 200 to Rs 17100 per quintal due to the strong offtake even after the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 500 per quintal. There were around 3200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract slipped by Rs 64 or 0.36 percent to Rs 18052 per quintal owing to the strong speculative buying. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the prices during the coming days.
