New Delhi, 20 May (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 400 to Rs 17200 per quintal owing to the increased buying at the lower level. Before this, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 2200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices remained stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract dropped down by Rs 98 or 0.54 percent to Rs 17890 per quintal owing to the feeble buying from the speculators. There is a possibility of profit taking selling in the prices during the coming days.
