New Delhi, 22 May (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis went up by Rs 500 to Rs 18100 per quintal due to the strong offtake even after the higher prices. During the previous day, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 3200 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract went up by Rs 176 or 0.93 percent to Rs 19128 per quintal owing to the strong speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the near future.
