New Delhi, 28 May (NNS): The prices of cumin reduced by Rs 300 to Rs 31500 per quintal due to the weak sale even after the lower level. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 22000/24000 bags of cumin reported to arrive in Unjha and the prices declined by Rs 200/300 per 20 kg. The active contract dropped down by Rs 580 or 2.03 percent to Rs 29010 per quintal owing to the constant speculative buying. The market sentiments may affect because of the weak arrivals than the normal level. The prices may show more downtrend during the coming days.
