New Delhi, 24 June (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis declined by Rs 900 to Rs 16800 per quintal owing to the weak buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 1000 per quintal. There were around 1800 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the level of the previous day. The active contract prices softened by Rs 14 or 0.08 percent to Rs 17360 per quintal because of the sluggish speculative buying. There is no possibility of more uptrend in the prices during the coming days.
