New Delhi, 20 August (NNS): The prices of cumin gained by Rs 100 to Rs 20800 per quintal because of the higher offtake at the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 6000/7000 bags of cumin reported to arrive and the prices improved by Rs 20/75 per 20 kg. The active contract prices rose by Rs 80 or 0.41 percent to Rs 19450 per quintal because of the strong speculative selling. The spot cumin prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
