New Delhi, 29 August (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis fell down by Rs 100 to Rs 13200 per quintal due to the sluggish offtake at the higher prices. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 7000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices improved by Rs 36 or 0.27 percent to Rs 13296 per quintal due to the nominal speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
