New Delhi, 10 September (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis gained by Rs 100 to Rs 12800 per quintal due to the strong sale offtake at the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 4000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices gained by Rs 172 or 1.42 percent to Rs 12244 per quintal due to the strong speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
