New Delhi, 19 September (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis remained firm at Rs 12900 per quintal due to the weak sale at the higher level. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 100/200 per quintal. There were around 7000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices gained by Rs 50 or 0.41 percent to Rs 12150 per quintal due to the limited speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
