New Delhi, 06 October (NNS): The prices of cumin dropped down by 400 to Rs 19800 per quintal because of the weak buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Recently, the prices went down by Rs 300/400 per quintal. There were around 8000/10000 bags of cumin reported to arrive and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day in Erode. The active contract prices declined by Rs 40 or 0.21 percent to Rs 18900 per quintal because of the sluggish speculative buying. The spot cumin prices will likely to move in the limited area during the coming one or two days.
