New Delhi, 06 October (NNS): During the previous week, here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asiti declined by Rs 300 to Rs 12800 per quintal owing to the weak buying from the stockists even after the feeble prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 1700 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in erode and the prices declined by Rs 200 per quintal in Erode. The active contract prices dropped down by 204 percent or Rs 1.70 to Rs 11770 per quintal due to the weak speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the near future.
