New Delhi, 15 April (NNS):  the market of turmeric remained weak after the increment in the prices because this time, there is a lack of demand in the markets. The crop of turmeric get affected in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra because of the Unseasonal rainfall, due to which, both the stockists and the farmers have stored their stock, due to this reason, here, the prices of turmeric gained to Rs 15900/16000 per quintal, but in the weekend, it’s prices dropped down by Rs 200 to Rs 15500/15600 per quintal. Today, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis reduced by Rs 100 to Rs 15100/15500 per quintal and it is expected that the prices may increase after sometime during the near future.
