New Delhi, 13 May (NNS): The prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis remained firm at Rs 15000 per quintal owing to the weak sale even after the downfall in the prices during the previous days. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 100 per quintal. There were around 3500 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day. The active contract prices improved by Rs 14 or 0.09 percent to Rs 15748 per quintal owing to the nominal speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
