New Delhi, 25 May (NNS): During the review week, here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis slipped by Rs 100 to Rs 14500 per quintal amid weak selling from the stockists even feeble prices. Recently, the prices have gone down by Rs 200 per quintal. There were around 2000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held stable at the same level. The active contract prices gained by Rs 52 or 0.32 percent to Rs 16282 per quintal owing to the constant speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the coming days.
