New Delhi, 17 June (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis jumped by Rs 200 to Rs 15500 per quintal owing to the constant buying from the stockists and increased demand from the exporters. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 4000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal. The active contract prices ascended by Rs 204 or 1.24 percent to Rs 16600 per quintal owing to the strong speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the coming days.
