New Delhi, 19 June (NNS): The uptrend of turmeric reported to be sluggish even after the uptrend in the prices during the previous days. As a result, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis remained firm at Rs 15500 per quintal. The arrivals reported to be stable at the same level of the previous day in Erode, whereas, its prices gained by Rs 100 per quintal. The active contract prices went up by Rs 232 or 1.41 percent to Rs 16700 per quintal because of the increased speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the prices during the coming one or two days.
