New Delhi, 24 June (NNS): The sale of turmeric reported to be sluggish even after the uptrend in the prices during the previous days. As a result, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis remained firm at Rs 15500 per quintal. Recently, the prices have gone up by Rs 200 per quintal. The arrivals reported to be around 3500 bags and the prices held stable at the same level of the previous day in Erode. The active contract prices improved by Rs 12 or 0.07 percent to Rs 16680 per quintal because of the constant speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
