New Delhi, 15July (NNS): Here, the prices of poppy seeds Turkey remained stable at Rs 1300/1400 per kg. The new crop of poppy seeds has been started arriving from the mid of March and April, due to this, the arrivals of new crop seems high in the markets, in this situation, the prices have remained under pressure. The arrivals of poppy seeds showed increment due to the new crop in the markets and higher availability of imported stock. The wholesale procurement seems sluggish from the traders and the stockists in the spot markets. There is a lack of demand in the markets, due to this reason, prices remained stable at the same level. The arrivals of new crop reported to be constant in the markets, due to this, appropriate amount of stock has been available. In these circumstances, the spot poppy seeds prices will likely to remain sluggish during the coming days.
