New Delhi, 15July (NNS): the prices of turmeric Erode gatta asitis rose by Rs 1000 per quintal during the last two days, after this, today, it’s prices temporary reduced by Rs 200 to Rs 18200/18300 per quintal. The arrivals of turmeric have been decreasing constantly in the markets and the remaining stock of previous year will likely to be over soon. Apart from this, the prices of turmeric showed heavy increment because of the festival demand and strong export. The major season of the arrivals of new stock in the markets has already been over, due to this, the arrivals of turmeric seem weak in the markets. Due to the sluggish production and limited amount of stock, both the traders and the stockists are constantly purchasing the stock of turmeric. The farmers of Maharashtra majorly Marathwada, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have stored their stock to take the profit, due to this, the availability of turmeric reported to be sluggish in the markets.
