New Delhi, 20 July (NNS): There is no fear of profit taking selling during the coming five to six days. During the review week, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis jumped to Rs 19200 per quintal due to the all-round buying from the stockists. Recently, the prices have reached to Rs 19300 per quintal. There were around 2000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices slipped by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract prices reduced by Rs 210 or 0.97 percent to Rs 21540 per quintal because of the weak speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is a fear of increased profit taking selling from the stockists during the coming one or two days.
