New Delhi, 21 August (NNS): The offtake of turmeric reported to be high after the increment in the prices during the previous days. As a result, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis gained by Rs 200 to Rs 19400 per quintal. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 8000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices gained by Rs 200 per quintal. The active contract prices rose by Rs 544 or 2.51 percent to Rs 22228 per quintal because of the strong speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. The spot turmeric prices may increase during the coming days.
