New Delhi, 24 August (NNS): Here, the prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis ascended by Rs 400 to Rs 19500 per quintal because of the strong buying from the stockists. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 1800 bags of turmeric reported to arrive and the prices remained unchanged. The active contract prices softened by Rs 26 to 0.12 percent to Rs 22012 per quintal due to the weak speculative buying. The spot turmeric prices will likely to remain strong during the near future.
