New Delhi, 28 September (NNS): The prices of turmeric Erode gatha asitis went down by Rs 100 to Rs 18800 per quintal owing to the soft trend in the prices of turmeric after the  increment in the prices. Recently, the prices have gone up in the same ratio. There were around 8000 bags of turmeric reported to arrive in Erode and the prices held firm at the previous level. The active contract prices went down by Rs 104 or 0.51 percent to Rs 20480 because of the weak speculative buying, due to this, the market sentiments may affect. There is no possibility of long uptrend in the spot turmeric prices during the coming days.
