New Delhi, 06 October (NNS): The prices of cumin showed uptrend in the spot domestic markets due to the increment in the contract trade. Today, the prices of average quality stock rose by Rs 200 to Rs 24600/24900 per quintal. The situation seems uncertain on seeing the temperature and weather in October and November in Gujarat and Rajasthan during the coming month, due to this, the price showed uptrend in the contract market. The arrivals reported to be limited in the famous producing markets of the country along with Unjha, whereas, both the farmers and the traders are storing the stock at the higher level despite the improvement in the prices. The domestic demand reported to be high from the spices manufacturers, local processors and the stockists as the festival and wedding season is about to come.
