New Delhi, 06 October (NNS): The prices of small cardamom showed uptrend. Before this, the prices gained by Rs 50 per kg, due to which, the prices of small cardamom 7.5mm remained stable at Rs 2800/2900 per kg. The production gets affected due to the unfavourable weather conditions and weak rainfall during the starting of the crop season, due to this, the harvesting declined by 25/30 percent. Apart from this, the old stock has also been sold out in the markets and the arrivals of the new crop seems weak this year, due to this, both the traders and the stockists are not purchasing the stock at the lower level. Its demand has been increasing constantly in the domestic consumption centres in the local markets on seeing the winter season and upcoming festivals.
